Creating PDF/A Documents with Microsoft Word 2010


To create a PDF/A document from Word 2010 document:

step action
1 Click File and select Save As.
2 Click the Options button.
3 In the Options window, click the checkbox for ISO 19005-1 Compliant (PDF/A).
4 Click the OK button to return to the Save As window. Click the Save button to save the PDF/A file.

Some versions of Word 2010 may have a Create PDF/XPS Document option available under Save & Send, from which the above steps may also be followed.
