Honorable Judge Ann Aiken
The Honorable Ann Aiken became the Chief Judge of the District Court of Oregon on February 1, 2009. Chief Judge Aiken divides her time between the Eugene and Portland Courthouses. Prior to assuming the role of Chief Judge, she launched the District of Oregon's Reentry Court, a pilot program for drug offenders, in partnership with U.S. Probation, the U.S. Attorney's office, the Federal Defender's office, private and non-profit community organizations, and others.

Courtroom Rules

- Attorneys and parties should conduct themselves with decorum and manners. This is primarily for your own benefit: jurors, courtroom staff, and public observers consistently state that they prefer a civil and collegial relationship between opposing parties and counsel.
