Biographical Statement

I have mediated hundreds of cases during the last twenty years of my practice.  I have also been appointed as a special master by the federal bench and been asked to mediate several difficult cases by our federal judges. I have also often served as an arbitrator on three-person panels and as a solo arbitrator for Multnomah County for a number of years.  I received training from United States Arbitration and Mediation of Oregon and through several federal court programs.

I have been a trial lawyer for over forty years as both a plaintiff and defense attorney and have extensive civil trial experience representing individuals and small and large businesses, including  John Deere, Safeway, Hyster, Union Bank of California, and Transamerica Title,  in many areas of the law including employment disputes,  personal injury, medical malpractice, products liability, and numerous business disputes of every conceivable kind.
