On June 21, 2011, the Senate approved the nomination of Michael H. Simon as District Judge for the District of Oregon. Judge Simon's career includes a long history of litigation in federal and state courts, and service in the Department of Justice Antitrust Division. He leaves private practice at Perkins Coie in Portland to join the District.
