CM/ECF Information

Electronic Filing of Transcripts

Please note: CM/ECF was down for maintenance (the upgrade of the application from Version 3.2.2 to Version 3.2.3 as further described below) for part of Saturday, October 17, 2009.

Included with this upgrade are the following two features:

1. Redaction Message

The Committee on Court Administration and Case Management (CACM) issued a new requirement to modify the redaction disclaimer text on the login screen, add hyperlinks to the rules, and add a checkbox to the login screen for attorneys. Filers are to acknowledge having read the redaction disclaimer by placing a mark in the checkbox. In addition, a reminder question Have you redacted? was added to the final docket text review screen during docketing.

2. Deadline Calculation Rules Change

Effective December 1, 2009, the Federal Rules for how deadlines are computed will be changed, and the upgrade modifies the software that controls all default date calculations to only calculate based on calendar days. NOTE: This software modification will go into effect on December 1, 2009.

NOTICE TO MAC USERS OF CM/ECF
Many of the features contained in the latest version of the CM/ECF software rely heavily on Javascript which is subtly different across browsers. Apple Mac users running the Safari browser may need to either install Firefox (free download) or use a product called Bootcamp that allows a user to run Windows on an Apple computer in order to electronically file.
